Sometimes my thoughts train off at the most random points. My best homie is about to leave and be off to the marines soon, and all he talks about is learning muay tai; a badass fighting style that marines learn to pretty much kill anything I guess lol. But one of the training procedures in muay tai is crazy; the trainee has to repeatedly kick a banana tree until he breaks his tibia [that frontal lower leg bone]. This is done in order for it to grow back even stronger and more reliable than before, able to endure things to come that it would have never stood a chance against before.
I feel like when hearts are broken, of course there's a period of pain-- but that person should rise up stronger than they were before, no matter what the extent of damage was done. They should both learn from their mistakes and benefit from the pain as another step towards something greater; maybe put up with something in the future, they couldn't before. I would never hesitate to say heartbreak is needed in any persons life; Sometimes you have to know pain to truly appreciate pleasure.
